Here’s some sample text to reproduce this bug. Copy and paste the following text into a blank document:

    require 'rubygems'
    require 'gosu'

    require 'entity'
    require 'hunter'
    require 'prey'
    require 'entity_ai'
    require 'collapsing_leaf_tree'

    require 'ai_implementations/naive_hunter_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/keyboard_hunter_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/smart_hunter_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/cowardly_hunter_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/gravitational_hunter_ai'

    require 'ai_implementations/naive_prey_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/keyboard_prey_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/suicidal_prey_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/smart_prey_ai'
    require 'ai_implementations/gravitational_prey_ai’

Select from the first occurrence of “hunter_ai” to “suicidal_”. Look at the position and length of the current selection in the lower-left of the window.

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”
    • Assigned user set to “rsms”
    • Tag set to statusbar, ui
    • Milestone order changed from “41” to “0”

This is a simple issue of how much visual space is allocated for the selection info in the status bar. I've increased the size to cover a greater span of use-cases.
