Bug: MarkDown Syntax Highlighting

With a Markdown file open, there is no syntax highlighting for:
- Lists, e.g.
0. Stuffor- Stuff - Neither the text or URL are highlighted in
[link text](http://google.com) - Footnotes (see here)
- Headers are only highlighted when prefixed by
#- Text followed by
---is the same as# - Text followed by
===is the same as##
- Text followed by
- Bold, italic, and bold-italic text are not emphasized

It's a very basic implementation, just to cover kod:about. You are welcome to extend the Markdown syntax definitions though.
