search box

Reported by paul | December 24th, 2010 @ 12:47 AM

What I did:
cmd-f

What I expected to happen:
a searchbox like chrome or firefox to appear. that would be awesome!!

What actually happened:
normal search box appeared.

It's fine, but I would like the browser search.

Also, the url on top is amazing. I can just write my url and get the html! Now All you have to add is ssh file edit (!?)

For good measure, I will explicitly disagree with this. Maybe if it's just a simple search, but Cmd-F also needs replace capability in an editor.

    • State changed from “new” to “invalid”
    • Assigned user set to “rsms”
    • Tag set to search, ui, ux

Search and replace will continue to live in a panel. I personally do not like how Xcode works with it's "inline" find/find-and-replace.

This is of course subject to personal opinion and I'm not 100% sure the panel is the right way, but until solid arguments for using an "inline" search-and-replace UI has been presented, Kod will continue to use a panel.
