wording of the create symbolic link dialogue box
Reported by hayley | December 24th, 2010 @ 12:12 AM | in 0.0.2
I think the following could be reworded somewhat to improve clarity.
It's recommended that a symbolic link is created from your bin directory, so that updating the application in the future, will also update the command in use.
Suggested wording:
It's recommended that a symbolic link be created in your system's bin directory, so that any future application updates will also update the command line tool.
Or the "active" version:
It's recommended that you create a symbolic link in your system's bin directory...
To me, "your bin directory" implies that it's talking about my home directory and not something like /usr/local/bin hence why I added "system".
Congrats on the release of Kod's first beta! :)
