Undoing an indent command moves the caret
Reported by Deleted User | January 2nd, 2011 @ 03:00 AM
What I did:
1) Placed my cursor somewhere inside a line (not the
beginning)
2) Pressed TAB
3) Pressed Cmd-Z
What I expected to happen:
I expect the indentation 2) to be undoed, thus leaving me in the same situation as after command 1)
What actually happened:
The indentation was undoed, but the caret moved to the beginning of the line.
When I try to undo a shift-TAB command, the indentation characters are added again (4 spaces in my configuration) but Kod also selects them.

When you use the Indent command to indent text, the text moves left and the caret stays on the first column. Reducing an indent moves the caret to the right and venge io reduces the amount of left-hand whitespace.

Indenting a block of text is a common task in many programming subway surfers languages. In most cases, it's straightforward: type the indentation you want, then press enter. In some cases, however, it's necessary to undo an indented command. In those cases, you have two options: you can use the undo command, or you can use the undo-redo command. The undo command is the default option in most programming languages, but it's not always the best choice.

If you're having trouble undoing an indent slope command, you might be using the wrong keyboard layout. The layout that corresponds to the left hand side of your keyboard is called "left-handed". If you're using a right-handed keyboard, the indent command will be moved to the right hand side of the keyboard. This is because the left-handed keyboard layout is used for writing in a left-to-right direction.

When you undo an indent command, drive mad it is expected that the caret (also known as the cursor) will move back to the original position before the indent was applied. This is because the indent command essentially moves the text to the right, and undoing it will move the text back to the left to its original position.
