Problems with syntax highlighting getting turned off
Reported by Jeremy Johnstone | December 26th, 2010 @ 11:18 PM
What I did: Here's the simplest test case:
Step 01: Create a file with this as the contents and save
it...
<?php
$test = TRUE;
Step 02: Close the file and reopen it.
Step 03: Hit enter on the first line before the opening PHP
brackets
Step 04: Delete the new line
Step 05: Save the file
What I expected to happen: Syntax highlighting to stay intact on the file after saving
What actually happened: The font went back to pure white with no syntax highlighting
The above example is a bit contrived, but it's the simplest example which exhibits the issue. I found a number of similar ways to throw off the syntax highlighting, so if you need more examples let me know.
